DESCRIPTION:THE ART OF LOVE SHOW at the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center\nTheme – The splendor of love or the not-so-splendid side of it.\nOrganized and curated by Mary Ellen Raneri\nJuror — Artist and Instructor, Kenneth Nicholson\nReception – February 12th at the Greensburg Garden and Civic\nCenter – 6-8 PM\n$15 application fee –You may enter 1- 3 pieces. Art must be able to be hung on the wall. No sculptures. The fee covers prizes, refreshments and expenses for the show. Payable to Mary by cash or check.\nProspectus/application will be posted on my page later today. Applications are due by Sunday, January 26th.\n \nThis year, artists and writers will articulate their creative expression at the Art of Love juried art\nshow to be held at the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center.\n \nArtists have been invited to explore love in all its splendor and non-splendid moments and to\nexpress what the word LOVE signifies to them.\n \nThe reception for The Art of Love will be held on February 12th from 6 PM-8:30 PM. During the\nreception, there will be an awards ceremony in which several cash prizes will be awarded.  In\naddition, local writers have been invited to compose poetry, prose and short narratives about\npieces in the show that “spoke” to them.   The awards and writers’ compositions will indeed be a\nsecret until the night of the reception.  Awards and honors should begin at 6:45 PM.\n \nWe are pleased to announce that Kenneth Nicholson will act as juror for this event.  Born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, Kenneth received his AFA from Westmoreland County Community College in 2010, BFA from Seton Hill University in 2014, and MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2016.  He currently teaches as an adjunct instructor at Westmoreland County Community College, University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, and Seton Hill University. His work has been exhibited in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Ohio, Washington DC, New Jersey, and New York.\nThe Art of Love exhibition was organized by Mary Ellen Raneri a, local artist.\nPlease join us at the reception for a blend of writing and art, music, friendship and light snacks!\nThere is no admission and the show is open to the public.\nThe Art of Love exhibition will be on display from February 4th until March 26th at the Civic Center.\n
