SUMMARY:The Laurel – TGIS Free Concert Series
DESCRIPTION:The Laurel is an original rock group that also plays covers of classic rock, new rock and older country music. Recently, the band has been focusing efforts on playing their original songs and finishing the production of their first full album, which is nearing completion. They played under the title The Black Magic Band at the 2014 TGIS Concert Series. The band has been playing together throughout western PA for over six years as a 3-piece and will debut their newest member for this show, now making them a 4-piece group. The band is comprised of Scott Ruffner (guitar/vocalist), Dan Hillegas (bass/rhythm guitar/ vocalist), John Borek (drums), and newest member Garett Shoemaker (keyboard). For a song on the upcoming album and for this performance they have the assistance of a guest pedal steel player, Mark Pollack.\nEnjoy 14 weeks of live music for FREE every Thursday evening from May 30 – September 5.
