The Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc. (PIC), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, that operates employment, education, and training programs in southwestern Pennsylvania, with a particular emphasis in Westmoreland and Fayette counties. PIC has strategically located offices throughout Beaver, Fayette and Westmoreland counties to assist youth, adults, dislocated workers, and the economically disadvantaged in attaining educational achievement, supporting their family growth, and obtaining and retaining employment.

The organization works every day to educate, encourage, and empower family and individual development and to create career enhancement opportunities through training and workforce development, which will perpetuate and improve the quality of life in southwestern Pennsylvania.

PIC operates over two dozen programs through an organizational structure of three divisions: Early Childhood Development, Education, and Workforce Development. PIC is governed by a fifteen-member Board of Directors and employs over 300 full-time and part-time professionals to provide services and reach the goals and objectives outlined in each of its employment, educational, and training programs. Over the past four decades, PIC has served more than 300,000 individuals of all ages and currently operates more than two dozen programs across three divisions: Early Childhood Development, Education, and Workforce Development.

Our programs are recognized leaders in all three divisions. A team of over 300 employees helps to deliver job search assistance, adult education, workforce training, early childhood education, after-school programs for youth, and much more. Our Workforce Development Division is responsible for providing job search assistance, on-the-job training, aptitude assessments, and direct placement of those enrolled in our workforce development programs and through our one-stop career centers. Our Early Childhood Development Division has served the families of the local area through school readiness, family engagement and other services provided through Head Start, Early Head Start, PA Pre-K Counts programs and PIC Kidz Zone. Lastly, our Education division provides afterschool programs for in-school youth, GED and remediation classes and plethora of professional development trainings to help local workforce needs.
